ManTech to provide cyber defense for Air Force, could add defense jobs

ManTech International Corporation announced recently that it has been awarded a $7 million task order from the General Services Administration (GSA) to provide cyber defense support to the U.S. Air Force.

According to a company release, ManTech will reportedly offer software development solutions in support of the Air Force Cyber Command's development of cyber defense technology department.

"ManTech is proud to provide cyber defense support to the U.S. Air Force," L. William Varner, president and chief operating officer of ManTech's Mission, Cyber and Technology Solutions Group, said in a statement. "We bring an unmatched ability to innovate, develop and enhance cyber warfare technologies based on our intimate knowledge of full-spectrum Computer Network Operations."

ManTech, which provides support services to approximately 60 federal agencies, could look for professionals with security clearance to fill potential defense jobs added under the new contract. These individuals are in high demand because they can generally access top secret information utilized in such projects.
