Ferroelectric Random-Access Memory (FRAM)

A trademarked type of non-volatile memory developed by Ramtron International Corporation. FRAM combines the access of speed of Dynamic Random-Access Memory (DRAM) and Static Random-Access Memory (SRAM) with the nonvolatility of Read-Only Memory (ROM). Because of its high speed, it is replacing Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory (EEPROM) in many devices.
