WANTED:  System Administrators (IAT II) to support the a DoD acquisition program in Arlington (VA).

As an IT Systems Administrator, you will:

A week in the life of an IT Systems Administrator:

  • Provide system administration and configuration of specialized mission applications and software
  • Optimize the functionality and performance of hardware and software systems
  • Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans and capabilities for all critical mission systems
  • Develop and maintain system administration standard operating procedures, technical guides, and instructions
  • Plan for authorized service interruptions and outages
  • Respond to unexpected or unauthorized service interruptions and outages
  • Diagnose software and hardware failures to resolution
  • Implement and ensure security preventive measures are fully functioning
  • Monitor and enhance system performance
  • Test operating system and software upgrades, patches, and hot fixes before they are applied to the operational systems
  • Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery capabilities for all identified critical mission systems

Job Requirementstop

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • IAT II Certified (Security+ CE)
  • Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Information Technology) or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of strong technical IT infrastructure / systems experience, including but not limited to: Microsoft Windows Group Policy, NTFS, DNS, DHCP, and LAN administration
  • Advanced knowledge of & experience working with Windows client, server, and networking technologies such as Active Directory 2012R2 (or newer) and Exchange 2016
  • Advanced experience in managing these Windows Server technologies to include SQL Server, System Center (SCCM, SCOM), SharePoint, etc. on VMWare and the optimization of these platforms
  • Experience with SAN storage technologies and integration VMWare, specifically with EMC storage systems
  • Experience with configuring Layer 2 and 3 Cisco switches to support a virtualized environment and maximizing network performance
  • Advanced knowledge of systems administration, optimization, and industry best practices
  • Extensive experience with networking, desktops / laptops, servers, virtualization, managing data, applications, websites, and database supporting a multi-site, multi-domain Windows forest
  • Solid understanding of PowerShell

Desired Experience:

  • 10+ years of enterprise-level Active Directory administration
  • Administrator with one or more of the following designations: MCITP, MCSA, MCSE
  • Solid understanding of VBScript
  • 10+ years of work experience with MS Exchange
  • 5+ years of extensive hands-on experience supporting Exchange 2010-2016 including experience with Exchange server failover and cluster management
  • Extensive experience administering, monitoring, and troubleshooting complex messaging environments

CLEARANCE: Active Top Secret  with SCI eligibility 

  • Will accept technical certification credit for military experience, where possible
