  • Support CBP Component Certification Manager and acquisition workforce support coordinator for all training and certification activities. 
  • Perform research analysis on acquisition workforce issues, problems, and risks, and report results.
  • Ability to work with Division training coordinators to identify workforce participation and individual needs
  • Support the training, development, certification preparation, and Continuous Learning activities of the CBP workforce.
  • Support the implementation of policy, doctrine, and strategic human capital resources to facilitate Component Acquisition Executive acquisition workforce priorities. 
  • Identify / codify / record and track workforce membership, location, program affiliation, career path, certification, and special skills, and provide support to the AWF Manager for accounting of workforce composition and status
  • Prepare technical guidelines and standard operating procedures to promote improved knowledge management and internal organizational efficiency.
  • Develop metrics for workforce training and certification performance and provide workforce surveillance
  •  Assist in the preparation and update of program staffing plans and staffing gap analysis
  • Develop and report metrics related to use of Acquisition Position Descriptions
  • Interface with Office of Human Resource Management and other Offices to identify acquisition workforce personnel.
  • Prepare memoranda detailing certification requirements acquisition workforce personnel
  • Administer rosters and personnel locators to identify and track workforce participants
  • Support career development initiatives(mentoring, rotations, training events, etc)

Skills and Clearance Requirements:

  • This position requires demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, effective decision-making, the ability to plan and organize work, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Requires a detail-oriented self-starter with superior customer interface skills and experience in supporting Government managers and/or technical/business professionals.
  • One to three years of experience in workforce management support to federal agencies is desired.
  • Knowledge of database usage is mandatory.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project and SharePoint are required.
  • FAC P/PM Entry Level, DAWIA Program Management Level 1, or equivalent certification is desired.
  • Ability to pass a Customs and Border Protection Background Investigation is required.
