ManTech is seeking an experienced Systems Integration Engineer to support development, maintenance, and integration activities for large-scale, enterprise systems for our DoD customer. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with a minimum of 4 years’ experience is required. This individual will be a key team member on the project, providing subject matter expertise and assistance with managing integration activities for multiple environments operating on both on-premise and cloud platforms. Able to work as part of a team and individually with little or no supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of customer requirements and how they translate to application features.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the Government and component developer teams to ensure a common understanding of requirements, priorities, risks and opportunities and facilitate joint lifecycle activities.
  • Coordinate with functional and technical subject matter experts to ensure changes to systems/environments are handled and communicated properly.
  • Plan for and conduct system and software integration to include planning, requirements analysis, validation, management, design, development, testing, performance, and software management.
  • Conduct the tasks necessary to fully integrate separate development components across the enterprise.
  • Provide input on the master Integrated Master Schedule to ensure all integration tasks are planned for and resolve schedule conflicts accordingly.
  • Evaluate existing components/systems to determine integration requirements and ensure final solutions meet organizational needs.
  • Conduct systems engineering and systems integration activities and produce associated deliverables supporting the design, development, integration, and testing of developed software.
  • Support ongoing cybersecurity activities, ensuring all systems and system components maintain a strong security posture in accordance with DoD requirements and guidelines.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure systems are available and operational for deployment.

Qualifications:

  • Detailed functional and technical knowledge of key DoD Healthcare IT systems.
  • Subject matter expert with extensive experience performing integration tasks for large-scale enterprise systems.
  • Experience performing integration activities for large integration efforts, requiring coordination and scheduling integration events across multiple component developers.
  • Experience maintaining environments with infrastructures that have
  • components operating on both on-premise and cloud platforms.
  • Experience implementing DevSecOps processes to support environment/system management and integration testing for systems operating across different platforms.
  • Experience managing cloud resources, scheduling these resources to be available only when needed for increased cost savings for the customer; includes experience maintaining Group Policy Objects within the Azure Active Directory (AAD).
  • Experience with VMWare virtual machine setup and management; creating new VM templates and provisioning VM instances upon request.
  • Hold certifications and training compliant with Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140.01 and DoD 8570.01-M.
  • Experience with software process improvement initiatives and formal integration processes following CMMI Level 5 guidelines.
  • Experience evaluating systems against the latest Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and working to resolve issues/discrepancies found.
  • Experience supporting Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities for obtaining and maintaining accreditation of DoD systems.
  • Experience with the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), following formal methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, or a hybrid of both.
  • Experience with formal Configuration Management practices for the overall SDLC process.
  • Experience with Capacity Planning and Performance Analysis.
  • Experience using the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Project 2000, Access, and Visio.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills (oral & written).
  • Occasional travel to Walter Reed Navy Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) required.
  • Preferred:

  • Hold a Microsoft Cloud certification such as Microsoft Azure Administrator or similar.
  • Experience managing changes and integration of updated components for systems operating on on-premise, cloud (particularly Azure), and hybrid platforms.
  • Experience implementing and executing mature DevSecOps processes, particularly with automation of integration tasks, incorporating security into all aspects of the lifecycle.
  • Experience with providing input for project documentation such as the System Design Document (SDD), System/Subsystem Design Document (SSDD), Interface Design Document (IDD), Interface Control Document (ICD), and Database Design Description (DBDD).
  • Familiarity with clinical documentation and clinical coding.
  • Familiarity with MUMPS programming and FileMan utilities.
  • Familiarity with the various DoDAF views applicable to DoD systems.
