Become an integral part of a diverse team in the Cyber Advanced Research and Development (CARD) group within ManTech. ManTech is seeking a motivated, mission-oriented IT Technician.  At ManTech, you will help protect our national security while working on innovative projects that offer great technical challenges.

The IT Technician is vital to the smooth operation of our development teams and ensures that they are able to meet deadlines when interfacing with customers.  The successful candidate must be an enthusiastic and passionate support professional, must be willing to learn new skills to develop expertise in a variety of fields, and be able to professionally represent ManTech.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Process/Work support request tickets via the Jira ticketing system
• Process/Work IT Automation Project tickets that improve the IT teams efficiency 
• Facilitate the hardware and access needs of incoming and outgoing employees
• Work with corporate IT entities when access to systems is outside of our domain
• Ensure that essential services are installed on supported versions of OS and keep the versions of the services themselves up to date
• Facilitate the purchasing and provisioning of end user hardware
• Maintain inventory that keeps track of all computer, monitor, and peripheral assets
• Ensure that backups are running in a healthy state
• Administer and support VPN access and use

Required Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
• 5+ years of related experience
• Quick learner, able to learn new software and technologies
• Must have strong experience with Linux/Unix
• Familiar with Windows, Windows server and Active Directory
• Familiar with VMware ESXi and VSphere
• Willing to step out of comfort zone and learn new skills
• Must be willing to work with a team or be willing to work independently

Desired Skills / Experience / Qualifications:
• Experience with inventory management
• Experience with standing up new services and tools on virtual machines in a linux environment
• Experience with Gitlab, Docker, and repo mirrors
• Familiarity with developing disaster recovery strategies
• Experience in the agile process
• Python
• Bash scripting
