Become an integral part of a diverse team in the Mission, Cyber and Intelligence Solutions (MCIS) Group.  Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, mission oriented Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO), in the Quantico, VA area, with strong Customer relationships.  At ManTech, you will help protect our national security while working on innovative projects that offer opportunities for advancement.
 

The Federal Security Solutions (FSS) Division provides cyber solutions to a wide range of Defense and Intelligence Community customers. This division consists of a team of technical leaders that deliver advanced technical solutions to government organizations. Our customers have high standards, are technically adept, and use our products daily to support their mission of protecting national security. A qualified candidate will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities, but are not limited to:

  • Manages extensive evaluations of major information security networks, prepares evaluation reports, and presents recommendations.
  • Conducts trade off analyses of products for clients to determine optimal informant security solutions.
  • Provides consulting services on a wide variety of information assurance topics.
  • Prepares remedial options and supervise correction of information security shortfalls.
  • Works independently in expert role at customer site.
  • Defines, creates, and maintains the documentation for assessment and authorization of information systems in accordance with government requirements.
  • Assess the impacts of system modifications and technological advances on security profiles. Additionally, the ISSO will review systems in order to identify potential security weaknesses, recommend improvements to redress vulnerabilities, validate the success of changes implemented to reduce risk, and document system modifications.
  • Researches, develops, implements, tests and reviews an organization's information security safeguards in order to ensure the security and privacy of information is reasonably and effectively protected.

Clearance Requirements: APPLICANTS SELECTED WILL BE SUBJECT TO A GOVERNMENT SECURITY INVESTIGATION AND MUST MEET ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR ACCESS TO CLASSIFIED INFORMATION. TOP SECRET CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED WITH THE ABILITY TO GET SCI

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information assurance, engineering or related field.
  • Eight years of progressively responsible IT Security assessment and authorization related responsibilities.
  • Eight years of experience directly performing Assessments and Authorizations, knowledge of specific NIST guidelines including FIPS-199 and Special Publications 800-53, 800-18, 800-30, 800-37, 800-60.
  • The candidate will demonstrate experience analyzing IT security controls and developing solutions to security problems to meet federal security standards.
  • Eight years of experience evaluating and implementing security controls, particularly in conformance with NIST standards and guidelines.
  • Documented experience with practices and challenges in cloud and highly virtualized computing environments and knowledge of software assurance principals.
  • Candidate will have one (or more) of the following industry-recognized security certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certification Information System Auditor (CISA) or Certification and Authorization Professional (CAP).
