ManTech is seeking an Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals supporting our Marine Corps Systems Command support team. Specifically, the successful candidate will be performing a wide variety of systems, network, and cyber engineering and automation functions that will enable our Marine Corps Cyberspace Operations Group (MCCOG) customers to develop new capabilities, processes, and automation practices for the Enterprise and Operational Forces.


Billet Title: Systems Optimization/Automation Engineer


Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:


? SME will serve as Automation Tools Systems Engineer for MCCOG.
? Develops, implements, installs and configures automation toolsets for MCCOG's systems and virtual environment with the end state being reduced man-hours in operating and maintaining said systems.
? Responsible for performing an analysis, providing recommendations, and effecting optimization a variety of operating systems, data bases, software applications, and systems both on premise, in a cloud environment, and in satellite locations.
? Develops and/or manages the development of short- and long-range milestones, plans, and technical assignments.
? Responsible for developing overall technical solutions to achieve identified capabilities and architectures for network command and data management, addressing requirements gathering, pre-deployment planning, implementation, and sustainment.
? Develops and establishes short and long term initiatives in response to operational needs of the organization.
? Provides guidance for short and Long Range Operational Plans.
? Provides guidance and ensures planning and maintenance of local and wide area Contingency/Mobilization Plans and operations.
? Reviews analysis of information requirements to include input for requirement, cost and resources.
? Develops written action plans which identify planning elements and steps with milestones, provides technical advice, guidance, and instruction to functional users, managers, and applications programmers regarding information systems operation, application design, and security in a DEVSECOPS IT environment.


Qualifications:


? At least 5 years of experience with tasks such as intrusion detection, incident response and computer forensics threats within Department of Defense IT environments.
? Comprehensive knowledge of systems optimization, development, and implementation of network systems automation tools, with a focus on security in a DEVSECOPS IT environment.
? Fluent in Linux scripting (BASH, CSH, KSH), Python, PostgreSQL, and PowerShell.
? Experience with programming languages such as Python, Ruby, and Java.
? Experience in cloud code and environment deployment utilizing Jenkins and Terraform.
? Knowledge of USMC and DOD information systems and their security requirements. (e.g., DoD 8500.01, DoDI 8510.0, and NIST SP 800-53).
? Excellent oral and written communication skills.
? Must possess and maintain DoD 8570 IASAE II qualifying certification.
? At least 5 years of experience within Department of Defense IT environments.
? Demonstrated experience with F5 load balancers desired.


Education:


Master’s Degree in Technology Management, Information Technology, e-Business or other related field (+12 years’ experience), Bachelor’s Degree in Technology Management, Information Technology, e-Business or other related field (+14 years’ experience), Associates’ Degree (+16 years’ experience) or High School Diploma (+19 years’ experience).


Knowledge Required By the Position:


? Possesses a specialization of virtualization of systems into Cloud Infrastructure and automation toolsets.
? Experienced with Agile methodology of project management principles, processes, procedures, planning and activity development using the SCRUM process.
? Experienced with development of automation tools supporting day to day operations of a large scale network involving migration of legacy network operations to Virtual and Cloud based infrastructure.
? Ability to prepare presentations, briefings, develop and implement cost-benefits analysis.


The candidate should have:


? A strong independent work ethic.
? At least 5 years of experience within Department of Defense IT environments.
? Familiarity with Navy/Marine Corps interoperability requirements is preferred.
? Experience with F5 load balancers.


Clearance Level:


? Minimum Active Secret clearance is required.


Travel:


? Less than 10%
