ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Dashboard Engineer to join our team the Reston, VA area to provide unparalleled support to our customer and to begin an exciting and rewarding career within ManTech. The Dashboard Engineer will support multiple federal agencies through the Continuous Diagnostics & Mitigation (CDM) Program. The CDM Program is a high-profile, high-visibility, cybersecurity modernization and risk management program where you can contribute innovative solutions and consult with many different federal agencies to enhance their Information Assurance (IA) programs and continuous monitoring capabilities.

The Dashboard Engineer is responsible for the integration new capabilities and managing the integration of existing capabilities for federal agencies in support of the CDM project or customer requirements. The Dashboard Engineer will work closely with architects, engineers, and integrators to assess customer requirements and to design and support data integration from various toolsets to the integration layer and the CDM Agency and Federal Dashboards to ensure compliance with dashboard data requirements. Additionally, you will serve as a trusted advisor, providing subject matter expertise, guidance, and best practice recommendations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop Connectors and processes for various security sensors and tools.
  • Create documentation for the installation, configuration and implementation of these connectors and processes.
  • Interpret functional requirements and implements them into processes between a sensor layer and dashboard layer.
  • Perform functional testing in cybersecurity lab.
  • Provide support to test team and to tool subject matter experts through systems engineering life cycle.
  • Provide Tier 3 support to operations teams when deployed into production.

  • Position Requirements:
  • BS in Computer Science or related field required, Masters a plus
  • Prefer the experience below, but very strong college Java programming skills could be considered in lieu of experience.
  • Prefer 1-3+ years of Data Integration experience with at 4 years of IT enterprise experience
  • 1-3+ years of experience with Java development, JSON, XML, XSLT and database languages such as SQL and Oracle
  • 1-3+ years of experience with web services development such as REST and SOAP
  • Experience with Apache Camel performing data integration
  • Experience with build tools (Maven, Jenkins) and configuration tools, such as SVN/GIT
  • Strong understanding of Security tools, such as McAfee and Tenable as well as enterprise service bus technology
  • Strong knowledge of development tools, configuration management tools, existing development standards, frameworks, models, and methods for developing and implementing security integrated solutions
  • Understands and applies information system or operational solution related data modeling methods and tools to perform data integration tool interoperability
  • Excellent communication, and relationship skills to articulate advanced technical topics and build consensus among clients and technical stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborations skills working in a team-oriented environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adhere to defined processes & procedures, and suggest improvements
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong technical documenting skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ServiceNow
  • Overall strong background in systems engineering, security engineering, architecting, enterprise integration, and interoperability in a complex systems environment
  • Knowledge of emerging cybersecurity technologies
  • Experience modeling data, message, and service interoperability
  • Understanding of technical, operational, and management issues related to design, development, and deployment of complex and distributed systems
  • Understanding of interrelationships between critical infrastructure protection and cybersecurity
  • Familiarity with DHS Cybersecurity programs such as Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM)
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certification
  • Knowledge and experience with Assessment & Authorization (A&A) processes in Federal environments, preferably with experience utilizing the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) for complex systems or networks
  • Powershell knowledge is a benefit

Security Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain DHS Suitability; active Top Secret clearance preferred
