Primary Responsibilities

  • Setting and maintaining software (code), wire schematics and hardware standards.
  • Responsible for designing complex Audio/Video/Control systems standards
  • Develop and implement wiring and configuration standards for all Audio-Visual systems while adhering to best practices for all conference rooms
  • Create and maintain run book / database including documentation for all hardware, software, manufacturer technical support, and current resale vendors
  • Responsible for all modification to Crestron control systems.
  • Develop and manage operational and preventive maintenance checks for all Audio-Visual systems and conference rooms
  • Research, analyze, and recommend electronic systems improvements and enhancements for audio visual systems
  • Troubleshoot and install Audio and Videoconferencing for small, medium, large conference rooms  
  • Ability to create, read and utilize blue prints and audio/video flow diagrams
  • Perform networking troubleshooting to diagnose static and dynamic IPs
  • Interface with manufacturers, developers, engineers, and project managers to provide resolutions for highly complex systems
  • Manage the relationship with vendor’s and their support team, including contracts negotiations, incident resolution, and escalating issues that require immediate resolution
  • Provide oversight over the development, upgrade, and repair of all Audio/Visual/Control systems
  • High-level understanding of Networks and circuits: LAN, VoIP, ISDN PRI, Crestron and POTS and Desktop: Win7/10
  • Interfaces with end users to independently resolve problems concerning system function(s) which have been escalated through a problem ticket process and generally are outside of established processes and procedures. Reviews assessments of diagnostic information and determines alternatives.
  • Communicates with vendors, clients, and/or product line/service representatives as the point of contact in response to service requests.
  • Provides guidance and training to client population on system and products
  • Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel.
  • Provides technical services or acts as a lead in support of project work; works with project teams to implement defined technical activities, such as enhancing or designing solutions for customers, creating new scripts and diagnostic tools to resolve problems and conducting transition or transformation activities for new accounts. Communicates in representing the service delivery organization as the client interface from problem identification to problem resolution. Establishes and builds client relationships.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, computer science, management information systems, or related field,  or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five or more years of experience in field installing commercial audio/visual products, including programming and calibration of audio and visual components. 
  • Five or more years of experience in systems engineering, software engineering, operating systems programming
  • A minimum of three years Audio / Visual design experience
  • Experience working with computer hardware, operating system software and desktop applications with a specific concentration in one or more areas
  • Experience working with one or more structured programming languages
  • Experience working with design principles and applications
  • In depth knowledge of conferencing technologies including but not limited to, Webex, Cisco Video conferencing, T10 touch pad, Audio Bridges, Conference Room Display, Fusion, IP Phones, VOIP, Creston/AMX, Shure, ClearOne, Polycom, etc. 
  • Analytical and creative problem solving skills for design, creation and testing of systems
  • Communication skills to communicate system proposals to management and customers and provide systems diagnoses and resolution for current systems
  • Interpersonal skills to interact with customers, senior level personnel, and team members
  • Organization skills to balance and prioritize work
  • Leadership skills to assist less experienced personnel
  • Ability to integrate moderately complex hardware and software systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education, Certification, License, and Skill Requirements

  • A formal education in electronics or a related field preferred or related field experience
  • Excellent experience with audio visual or other electro-mechanical installation techniques, or field servicing.
  • Crestron programing experience required
  • Ability to read schematic diagrams and drawing
