Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Web Developer to join our team in Linthicum, MD support the U.S. Army.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• As a senior staff member, performs as the technical expert with thorough understanding of the business application of an assigned project.
• Perform as a project lead with the responsibility for the instruction, assigning, direction, and monitoring of the performance of assigned software developers working on a specific project.
• Assist in the scheduling and coordinating of projects and may be involved in the design phase of a project.
• Work with customers and technical staff in the resolution of software problems and respond to suggestions for software modifications or enhancements. Participate in the development of software user manuals.

• Must possess exceptional C# programming skills
• Must possess strong understanding of ASP.NET Model-Viewer-Controller (MVC) and Web forms development frameworks and ASP.NET in general
• Must have solid experience using both Visual Studio and SQL Server Management Studio
• Must have experience using Team Foundation Server (TFS) as a source control repository and be proficient in using TFS to branch, merge and track software
• Must possess thorough understanding of SQL Server, thorough understanding of relational database principles in general and the ability to create, modify and delete database objects (i.e. tables, views, stored procedures, triggers, etc)
• Must possess sound working knowledge of JavaScript development (i.e. general JavaScript knowledge, JQuery, etc)
• Must be Security+ certified (within 30 days of hire, paid for by government)
• Must be a self-starter with initiative and able to work alone or as part of a larger team with minimal supervision
   

Preferred Qualifications:

• Should possess exceptional knowledge of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and UI layout frameworks (i.e. Bootstrap, Flexbox, etc) 
• Should possess solid understanding of using LINQ and Entity Framework to insert, query and update data in SQL Server
• Should possess the ability to troubleshoot SQL Server performance issues to identify bottlenecks, poor performing queries, etc
• Should have experience using Razor mark-up language
• Should have experience reverse engineering legacy source code to implement priority bug fixes and enhancement requests
• Should possess sound working knowledge of IIS and Web application deployments

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree (in Computer Science or related field) or equivalent,
• 10 - 12 years of related experience.        

Special Skills:

Certification in SQL server and any other specific software associated with the system, 3 years of experience with C++ or comparable object oriented language (e.g., Java), SQL Server or comparable SQL database (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, etc.), and experience at developing web applications that incorporate HTML, JavaScript, jQuery & CSS, at a minimum.
