Job Description

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Test Conductor (ME) to maintainsmooth operation of local area, worldwide and Virtual Private Networks (VPN). Successful candidate will plan, evaluate, and coordinate installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data and/or voice communication network. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of networks and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. May propose solutions to management to ensure all communications requirements based on future needs and current usage, configuring such solutions to optimize cost savings. Prepares or ensures that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions. Provides regular monitoring and network analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for in-house systems. May coordinate third-party maintenance for network equipment. May design network or portion of network that include selection of hardware and software packages.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 9 years of experience or 7 years of relevant experience with a master's degree.
  • Candidates must have a current DOD Top Secret level security clearance (or higher) with an original adjudication, or a periodic reinvestigation date, completed within the last 6 years to be considered.
  • Must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, a Special Access Programs (SAP/SAR) level clearance as a condition of continued employment.
  • Must be able to maintain IAT Level 1 Security Certification (Security +, CySA+, CCNA Security, GICSP,GSEC, SSCP) or IAT DoD level 3 (CASP, CCNP-Security, CISA, CISSP,GCED, GCIH) or able to obtain and maintain within 6 months of start date.
  • Individual must be willing to work outside of normally scheduled times, after hours support, and extended work days.
  • Must be willing to work a flexiblework schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, and 365 days a year.
  • Mustmeet medical requirements for worldwide travel. Must have and maintain a valid U.S. passport, accept customer furnished quarters for a period up to120 days away from primary work location and comply with mobility requirements such as chemical warfare training and immunizations that may include anthrax and smallpox.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors of science degree in Information Systems with 9 years of experience or 7 years of relevant experience with a master's degree with a current IAT Level 1 security certification.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level 1 Certification (Security+).
  • Experience operating and troubleshooting information's systems.
  • Experience with the following operating systems and applications:
    • Microsoft Office, Access and Visio.
    • Integrated Maintenance Data System
    • Unix/Solaris Operating Systems and Principles
    • Windows Server
    • Windows Server Update Service
    • High Availability Domain Control Applications
    • Wide Area (WAN) and Local Area (LAN) networking

    • Assured Compliance Assessment Solutions (ACAS)
    • Solaris Resource Groups
