Northrop Grumman is seeking a motivated professional to join our team as a Joint Knowledge Online (JKO) SCORM Programmer. This position is located in Suffolk, VA.

The selected candidate will support JKO as a courseware programmer packaging joint military internet-based courseware, joint reference, and any other joint training and reference materials to be presented via the JKO Learning Content Management System (LCMS). They will also anayze and modify content from other systems for use on the JKO LCMS.

Duties and responsibilities include developing the .xml packaging for courseware products developed by our team, create/validate the sequencing of the packaged elements, test, then load the completed courseware into the LMS. Employee will also be able to take courseware developed for other LMSs, deconstruct the software package, and reconstruct it in a manner that will allow it to run on the JKO LCMS. To do so, one must be an expert in SCORM 2004 standards, and with Java and Javascript programming. Employee must also be capable of documenting actions to be reported to government and contract leadership alike and developing procedures to be followed by the courseware developers. Courseware dealt with will be at all levels of interactivity (primarily levels 1-2, but needs to be able to handle all levels).

Basic Qualifications:

1.A Bachelor's degree in a technical field: Such as Computer Science, ISD, ITor related field.

2.A minimum of 8years of experience in the Advanced Distributed learning field.
3. Superior IMS Manifest troubleshooting skills--candidate will be tested as part of the interview.
4.A strong understanding of SCORM 2004 (no less than version 2) and its implementation in courseware.
5.A firm understanding of Instruction Systems Development methodology;
6. Experience using MS Office products, config mgt tools, plus theAdobe Suite of development tools (Captivate and Animate) and HTML5 programming.
7.Ability to obtain a fullSecret Security Clearance (interim clearance is required to start).


Preferred Qualifications:
1.Experience in workingthe Advanced Distributed Learning-Registry

2. Experience in programming for the JKO LCMS (while experience in other LMSs cannot be substituted, such experience will be a plus to convert other LMS products to run on the JKO LCMS);
3. Experience/proficiency in Dreamweaver MX, Fireworks, HTML, Photo Editor, Photoshop;
4. Experience in training military & civilian personnel via computer based and web-based applications;

5. Experience in working the Advanced Distributed Learning-Registry.

6. .xml, Java, Javascript programming skills with PHP.

7. Prefer Master's degree in a technical field: Such as Computer Science, ISD, ITor related field.

8.CompTIA Security+ certification is preferred, and can be a deal maker.

9.Experience withJKO JMO, and full working knowledge and System Administrator rights to LMS systems is a plus.

10. Understanding of SCORM 2004 versions greater than version 2 is a plus, as is understanding of xAPI.
