Job Description
Northrop Grumman Technology Services is seeking a Sr. Test Conductor to maintainsmooth operation of local area, worldwide and Virtual Private Networks (VPN). Successful candidate will plan, evaluate, and coordinate installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data and/or voice communication network. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of networks and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. May propose solutions to management to ensure all communications requirements based on future needs and current usage, configuring such solutions to optimize cost savings. Prepares or ensures that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions. Provides regular monitoring and network analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for in-house systems. May coordinate third-party maintenance for network equipment. May design network or portion of network that include selection of hardware and software packages.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Perform assessments of systems and networks within the networking environment or enclave and identify where those systems and networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy. This is achieved through passive evaluations such as compliance audits and active evaluations such as vulnerability assessments.
  • Establishes strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and supports obtaining certification and accreditation of systems. Includes support of process, analysis, coordination, security certification test, security documentation, as well as investigations, software research, hardware introduction and release, emerging technology research inspections and periodic audits.
  • Assist in the implementation of the required government policy (i.e., NISPOM, ICD 503), make recommendations on process tailoring, participate in and document process activities.
  • Perform analyses to validate established security requirements and to recommend additional security requirements and safeguards.
  • Support the formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) required by each government accrediting authority through pre-test preparations, participation in the tests, analysis of the results and preparation of required reports.
  • Document the results of Certification and Accreditation activities and technical or coordination activity and prepare the system Security Plans and update the Plan of Actions and Milestones POA&M.
  • Periodically conduct a complete review of each system's audits and monitor corrective actions until all actions are closed.
  • Review weekly information systems security audits.
  • Security configuration management.
  • Security account administration.
  • Security Anti-Virus system administration
  • Evaluate and generate system security plan documentation.
  • Lead system accreditation events generating ATO's
  • Continuous security monitoring.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience or a High School Diploma/ G.E.D with 9 years of experience.
  • Candidates must have a current DOD Top Secret level security clearance (or higher) with an original adjudication, or a periodic re-investigation date, completed within the last 6 years to be considered.
  • Must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, a Special Access Programs (SAP/SAR) level clearance as a condition of continued employment.
  • Must have one of the following certifications CISP, CISA or CISM or be able to obtain within 12 months of start date.
  • Individual must be willing to work outside of normally scheduled times, after hours support, and extended work days.
  • Must be willing to work a flexiblework schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, and 365 days a year.
  • Mustmeet medical requirements for worldwide travel. Must have and maintain a valid U.S. passport, accept customer furnished quarters for a period up to120 days away from primary work location and comply with mobility requirements such as chemical warfare training and immunizations that may include anthrax and smallpox.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors of science degree in Information Systems with 5 years of experience or 3 years of relevant experience with a master's degree with a current IAT Level 2 security certification.
  • A Mastery of IT policy, security requirements, security architecture, planning concepts, methods and practices and the SSP/ATP process.
  • Experience with the following:
    • Integrated Maintenance Data System
    • Administrating Unix/Solaris Operating Systems and Security Controls
    • Developing Solaris 11.3 security packages
    • Windows Server Group policy design, testing and implementation
    • Wide Area (WAN) and Local Area (LAN) networking
    • VCenter Virtualization
    • Cisco IOS Firewall Design and Implementation.
    • Red Hat Linux Security Controls
    • Assured Compliance Assessment Solutions (ACAS)
