Daily Duties:

  • Provides technical support for computers and associated networks. Installs, troubleshoots, services, and repairs personal computers, network equipment such as servers, modems, multiplexers, related PC software, telephones, cables, and connectors.

  • Provides personal computer, hardware, and software support. Installs, services, and repairs personal computers and installs attendant software. Connects personal computers and terminals to existing data networks.

  • Perform PC Builds Take the computer hardware out of the box and install a pre-configured image using Microsoft System Center or Microsoft Deployment Tool Kit, then tweak the installation by updating computer settings.

  • Add users and computers to the appropriate organizational unit in Active Directory (AD).

  • Set up Windows BIOS and registration settings according to workstation type.

  • Install video cards and the associated drivers on the workstations.

  • Set static IP addresses, subnets, and gateways.

  • Update various third party software configuration files as necessary.




Basic Qualifications:



  • High School Degree/GEDor equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience
  • 3-5 years of related experience configuring new Windows workstations and drives for replacements in existing machines and ensure the goals of the lifecycle deployment are fully met.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook), and SharePoint.
  • Security Clearance Top Secret
  • US Citizen Required



Preferred Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or other IT related discipline is preferred
  • Knowledge of technical security systems such as CCTV, alarms, and access control is a plus but not a requirement.
  • Government specified Enterprise Operations and Networks experience
