Are you passionate about creating interactive experiences on web and mobile devices? Northrop Grumman's Learning and Communications Solutions (LCS) group is made up of a diverse group of software engineers, multimedia developers, UX designers, artists, writers, and other creative professionals that creates effective solutions for training and web applications. We are looking for a User Experience (UX) Designer to be part of our interactive team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Youwilldesign and develop interactive web/mobile applications, multimedia training and innovative content delivery solutions for virtual and augmented reality. Using modern frameworks and UX best practices, the designer will apply user research, information architecture, rapid prototyping, and web development skills to design new solutions, troubleshoot and implement front-end code for existing or new systems, and deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions for a wide range of customers.

Basic Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years' work experience designing and developing web-based solutions. An additional 4 yrs of direct relevant experience may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
2. Extensive experience coding web pages with HTML5 and CSS3
3. Knowledge of usability, accessibility, responsive web design and other standard best practices
4. Knowledge and practice of UX industry best practices including research methods and user-centered design
5. Strong visual and interaction design proficiency, as well as a superior understanding of current front-end coding practices
6. Knowledge of front-end design tools and development frameworks, including jQuery, Bootstrap, and Angular
7. A solid portfolio of web, mobile, and multimedia design
8. Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Graphic/Web Design, Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors or similar
2. Demonstrated proficiency designing in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
3. Multimedia experience with Premiere Pro, Captivate, After Effects, etc.
4. Proficient use of common rapid prototyping tools (Axure Pro, etc.)
5. Extensive experience designing web application interfaces in an agile environment
6. Aspiration to stay on top of cutting edge hardware, software, and interaction design
7. Awareness of new trends in interactive design, web development, and digital platforms
8. Experience customizing Content Management Systems (Microsoft SharePoint, etc.)
