Principal Industrial Security Analyst

Develops, and administers security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment. Studies and implements federal security regulations that apply to company operations. Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies. Prepares manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to restricted records and materials. Conducts security education classes and security audits. Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken. Analyzes data and interview accounts against policy, procedures and other binding requirements to draw conclusions for follow on actions. Works independently on complex assignments using the individual's considerable skill and ability. Communicates the results ofinvestigation findings for use by management to determine if corrective actions are necessary, or if procedures and practices require amendment. Serve as a resource for Security Management for expert independent and unbiased analysis of issues that can negatively impact security. Leads the self-inspection process by analyzing security performance against contractual requirements to ensure Security resources are properly directed against required tasks so that such performance provides the necessary level of security for the specified policy. Interfaces with external customers and agencies for the coordination and resolution of security issues.


Basic Qualifications:

Ability to obtain Secret level clearance.

6 Years of security or related with Bachelors; or 4 Years with Masters; an additional 4 years of applicable work experience may be substitutedfor Bachelor's Degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

Secret clearance.

Knowledge of NISPOM requirements and how these translate into effective compliance actions.

Possessesthe ability to compare operations versus requirements to assess the compliance posture with NISPOMpolicies.

Able to conduct security briefings, training and remedial action activities.

Able to analyze various security situations, determine the problem and prescribe action to remediate it. Able to accurately assess and documentfindings.

Proven interviewing skills to determine facts and circumstances to resolve administrative inquiries.

Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills.
