Join the Northrop Grumman LCS Class Mission Module program as the Maintenance Planner and Production Control Representativewho will be responsible for insuring the Mission Module equipment is maintained and functional to meet the needs of the Fleet. This includes maintenance repairs, installation, modification/retrofit, production, schedule/survey quality control inspections, generate and assign work orders for all activities in the shop operation areas. This position is located in Mayport, FL.

The qualified candidate must be able to multi-task in a robust environment. Tasks will include managing multiple maintenance data systems, generating maintenance schedules for multiple sites simultaneously, organizing and producing metrics/reports and related maintenance data. The candidate may be required to support fleet operations in the maintenance of mission module equipment.

The ideal candidate will have experience with accessing and coordinating preventative maintenance on the Navy Planned Maintenance System (SKED) as well as the corresponding corrective maintenance data in Maintenance Figure of Merit (MFOM) or Optimized for Organizational Maintenance Management System-Next Generation (OMMS-NG). The Maintenance Administrator (MA) will pre-plan maintenance on a 30 -60- and 90 day schedule and provide the schedule to the site's maintenance manager for allocation of proper resources. Candidates with an aviation maintenance administration (AZ) background working with NALCOMIS will also be considered. The MA will prepare for and support mission module Readiness in the following areas:

  • Planned Maintenance (PMS) Planning

  • Current Maintenance Planning (CSMP)

  • Ready for Issue / Ready for Use (RFI/RFU) of MPs

  • Ship and Shore Availability Execution

  • Navy Quality Assurance/Control

  • Logistics

As the Maintenance Planner, the candidate will also be required to provide the following support:

  • Schedules all repair, installation and maintenance work on mission modules

  • Performs maintenance checks and quality checks as instructed by the maintenance manager

  • Coordinates preventative and corrective maintenance using the Navy system (SKED and MFOM)

  • Pre-plans maintenance on a 30 -60- and 90 day schedule and provides the schedule to the maintenance manager for allocation of proper resources

  • Coordinates maintenance with Sailors while Ashore and deployed

  • Develop meaningful metrics

  • Assist with reports and charts for metrics

  • Responsible to identify supplies and equipment to the supply personnel

  • Sources obsolete and hard to find mission system components, hardware, support and test equipment

  • Ensures Standard Operating procedures supporting Maintenance processes are adequate and current

  • Updates maintenance systems to reflect current status

  • Augments field teams as required to support deployments

Basic Qualifications:

  • Ten(10) years experience in Navy weapon system maintenance and logistics support
  • Knowledge/use of the Navy's Maintenance Systems such as SKED
  • Ability to multi-task in a production/industrial environment
  • Advanced experience with MS Excel; Basic knowledge of MS Project
  • Must be a US citizen capable of obtaining a security clearance

  • Ability to objectively assess ship material condition, develop a plan of action to repair and execute plan successfully.
