Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking an Aerospace Assembly Technician to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is located in Manhattan Beach, California.

This role will offer performance based career advancement.

The selected candidate will have experience in assembly operations, familiarity with shop routines and use of hand and power tools.

In this role, the selected candidate will be trained and certified within the first weeks of employment. This individual will be expected to:

Work from drawings, blueprints, manufacturing specifications and procedures, quality procedures and instructions, operations work sheets and company, military and customer specifications procedures.

Working with adhesives, chemical cleaners, coating materials and other commonly used chemicals used in manufacturing.

Will disassemble, modify, rework and reassemble assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications.

Make continuity checks on work in process and completed.

Conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.

Will provide training and mentoring to other team members.

Adhere to all applicable environmental, safety and health, and operations procedures and directives.

Notify supervision of any/all malfunctions, defects and damages of equipment, material and product.

Check work for completeness and accuracy.

Keep work area clean and orderly.

The Ground Manufacturing Lab Assembly team at Northrop Grumman AS is looking for you to join our team as an Electronic Assembler based out of Manhattan Beach, CA.

Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED and Minimum of 6 years of experience as a technician.

Must have and be able to maintain an active U.S. Government SCI access with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the last 5 years.

Experience working in a manufacturing setting.

Experience in assembly operations, and familiarity with shop routines and use of hand and power tools required for this position.

Experience in interpreting shop math, blueprints, electronic data, specifications, manuals, operations work sheets, and verbal instructions.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience working with electronics.

Must be able to learn concepts quickly.

Experience with hands-on electromechanical assembly.

Demonstrated experience with MS Office Suite (Excel, Power Point, Word).
