TheAssociate Engineer Systems will:

  • Perform technical planning, analyzes business and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business information processing rules & requirements
  • Represent the technical team to define requirements and business cases for the technology developments
  • Coordinate with business and technology teams, ascertaining system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, and system techniques and controls
  • Requires knowledge of Rational tools, computer system capabilities, processes, and work flow

Basic Qualifications:

Level 1

  • Bachelor's degree in Technical or STEM- and a minimum 0-2 years experience in a related field and knowledge ofRational Team Concert, ClearQuest, ClearCase, or other version control and tracking tools
  • Solid analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to relay and receive information in all forms
  • Ability to obtain a Moderate Risk Background Investigation (MBI) security clearance
  • Must be aUS Citizen or Green Card Holder
  • Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards
  • Independently demonstrates the skill and ability to perform fairly complex professional tasks.


Level 2

  • Bachelor's degree in Technical or STEM- related field and a minimum of 2-5 year's experiencewithRational Team Concert, ClearQuest, ClearCase, or other version control and tracking tools
  • Solid analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to relay and receive information in all forms
  • Ability to obtain a Moderate Risk Background Investigation (MBI) security clearance
  • Must be aUS Citizen or Green Card Holder
  • Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards
  • Independently demonstrates the skill and ability to perform fairly complex professional tasks.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum of3 years Business requirements experience
  • Previous experience with Agile development
  • Current position of MBI clearance
  • Experience in working on business or engineering full life-cycle projects from project inception through launch
  • Experience with IRS ELC processes
  • Experience with Rational Team Concert (RTC)
