The Software Team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Principal/Senior Principal Embedded Software Engineer based out of Point Mugu, CA.

If you are an experience Embedded Real Time Software Engineer, Software Developer or a Software Test Engineers, WE WANT YOU! Join our team and support our Airborne Electronic Attack (AEA)/Electronic Warfare(EW) Programs. All Software tasking will be performed at the Naval Air Warfare Center, Point Mugu and our Northrop Grumman Camarillo, Ca. office. These positions will require working closely with our Navy Customer on significant enhancements to our EW programs/platforms.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Design and develop full software life cycle artifacts from System and Software Requirements and Design and Implementation through multiple levels of test.
  • Resolve software and system defects
  • Collaborate with our customer, internal NGC sites and disciplines
  • Participate and contribute to peer reviews, critical milestone reviews, and technical inter-change meetings
  • Software methodologies are project dependent and may include Agile, Iterative development, Waterfall
  • Tools Utilized are project dependent and may include various VM/CM tools such as Rational Clear Case (ClearQuest for defect and change management), GIT, and MFS, Rhapsody/UML for design, Green Hills Integrity RTOS, ADA, C/C++, C#, Java, DOORs, Windows and LINUX.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline.
  • Must have knowledge of a higher order language such as Ada, C/C++, C#, RDBMS, MFS, Agile, UML, and real time embedded software development depending on the project assigned.
  • Must have basic knowledge of object oriented development.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to function as a member of an integrated team is essential.
  • Must have the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance and have an Interim Secret Clearance or higher to start.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to Electronic Warfare system development and design experience
  • Exposure tofull software life cycle experience on large scale formal DoD program
  • Familiarity with OA/MOSA
  • Knowledge of Radar, Signal Processing, Advanced Receivers/Transmitters
