One of our divisions has an opening for an Agile Transformation Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Rolling Meadows, IL.

This Agile Transformation Manager will lead the Agile Transformation effort for the division, and will work collaboratively and in alignment with the sector Agile Transformation Team, while working to execute the strategy internally within the division. The role encompasses tools, process, organization and people. The ideal candidate will need to work cross-functionally to identify a transformation plan for each business function as it relates to working agilely. This effort will involve conducting a comprehensive cross-functional analysis of the current state of processes and operations across the division, and determining how Agile and DevOps principles can be effectively leveraged and applied to make improvements and transform the division to an Agile organization. This will require a customized approach vs. simply applying a common Agile framework (e.g. Scrum) across the board, as what is optimal for each area of the business will vary. The ideal candidate has to have strong leadership qualities and comfort leading across organizations regardless of reporting authority. This position will require close collaboration with division leadership and supporting organizations, providing regular status updates on the progress of the transformation as well as metrics that measure the effectiveness of the changes over time.

Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as the division representative to the sector Agile Transformation Team

  • Conduct market research to better understand in detail how other companies in related industries are implementing Agile practices, and identify which practices would best apply to the various parts of the organization

  • Coach and mentor cross-functional teams on Agile and DevOps practices and principles

  • Coordinate with key stakeholders across the division to perform a comprehensive assessment of the current state of the organization and identify areas of opportunity

  • Collaboratively define the desired end state in terms of how each business area will operate in an Agile framework, along with which specific changes will need to be implemented to adopt Agile and DevOps practices

  • Create and execute an Agile Transformation Plan focused on successful change management techniques to improve the success of the Agile Transformation effort

  • Measure progress and inform division leadership regularly on the status and effectiveness of the transformation



Basic Qualifications - Internal/External


  • Bachelor's degree and 10 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree and 7 years of relevant experience

  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks and principles

  • Prior experience executing a scope of work in an Agile framework

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills, planning and presentation skills are required

  • Demonstrated ability to build and foster effective relationships with others

  • Demonstrated success leading teams/and or organizations to achieve a common goal

  • Ability to travel up to 25%



Preferred Qualifications Internal/External


  • Experience leading Agile teams and/or in a Technical Agile Coach role

  • Experience leading large scale change efforts with multiple stakeholders

  • Experience driving the adoption of and achieving successful Agile and DevOps practices across organizations

  • Certification in one or more of these designations is desired: Certified SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), Certified Scrum at Scale Practitioner, Certified Agile Coach certification

  • Master's degree in Business Administration

  • Experience with Earned Value Management

  • Experience supporting/managing DoD / government contracts or project management experience in other industries

  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance
