Primary responsibilities include:

Seeking an experienced candidate in developing and leading teams to develop real-time, embedded Computing Systems development and integration for safety critical systems.



Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited universitywith a minimum of14 years experiencein aircraft vehicle management systems or Master's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) disciplinefrom an accredited university with a minimum of12 years' experience in aircraft vehicle management systems.

Experience with developing and integrating components of a Vehicle Management System (VMS) including knowledge algorithms and techniques used in Vehicle and Flight control.

Experience designing, developing, integrating, verifying and qualifying safety-critical real-time embedded computing systems including experience with software, electronic hardware and systems engineering. (This experience should include developing technical specifications and being responsible for the technical aspects of procurement and oversight of computing system suppliers).

Experience developing real-time safety-critical software for VMS, using the C/C++ programming language.

Experience and demonstrated ability to lead and manage technical teams responsible for all aspects of safety-critical system development including job analysis, new product design, system architecture, software development, system integration and working with customers and other stakeholders to perform requirement definition.

Active DoD Secret clearance (or higher)

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidate must be able to collaborate in a team environment, prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish the project result, prioritize multiple responsibilities and/or accomplishing them simultaneously, and comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions.

Knowledge and experience with system, software and hardware airworthiness certification standards for both military and civil computing systems. These standards include MIL-HDBK-516C, Mil-Std-882E, DO-178C, DO-254, ARP4754 and ARP4761.
Experience with protocols, ICD definition and integration of high performance data busses including SAE AS5643/MIL-1394, ARINC825 (CAN 1.0 & 2.0), Ethernet as well as experience with other serial bus technologies including RS-422/485, Mil-Std-1553, ARINC429, PCIe.
Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a large team environment in both leadership and individual contributor roles.
