Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) seeks to fill a Manager position within the Engineering and Sciences Organization in Orlando, FL. This is a dual role encompassing both people leadership and technical performance. The selected candidate will spend a portion of their time (20%) managing a team of highly skilled engineers and the remaining time working cyber and network engineering activities for various programs.

This role will focus on two primary areas of responsibility: team leadership and management and technical performance.

Management responsibilities include but are not limited to providing support for:

Day-to-day communications, performance assessment and feedback, career counseling, mentoring and coaching, professional development, employee rewards and recognition, and resolving personnel issues and managing a staff
Recruiting, interviews, hiring, and work force planning
MS sector development processes for all enterprise and sector initiatives
New business acquisition, proposals, and special projects
Identifying and implementing new or improved tools and processes to increase team efficiency

Technical responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Acting as a lead on various programs
Having fundamental knowledge of Systems Engineering practices, network technologies, system development life-cycles and methodologies, and insight into information technology infrastructure management/monitoring and applications
Working knowledge of networks and an understanding of network architectures
Having awareness of and enforcing standards for cybersecurity frameworks and industry best practices supporting National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication (SP) 800-53, CNSSI 1253, and DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) execution

FLOMSTR

Basic Qualifications:
BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or closely related field with 3 years of relevant experience in engineering development projects or Master's degree with 2 years of relevant experience in engineering development projects / 10 years of relevant experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
Previous and proven experience in People and Technical Leadership roles
Current DoD 8570/8140 IAM/IAT Level II certification (e.g. Security+, CCNA, CCNA-Security) with ability to obtain IAM III within 6 months of start (CISSP)
US Citizenship is required with an active DoD Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
Master of Science in STEM related field
Current DoD 8570/8140 IAM/IAT Level III certification (e.g. CISSP)
Active DoD Top Secret Clearance
Previous and proven experience with staffing planning, forecasting, and related functional management duties.
