Northrop Grumman is seeking a Configuration Management Analyst to join our growing team of diverse professionals in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This team member will work directly with Electrical/Mechanical/Systems Engineers, Logistics Management Analysts, Project Management, and Project and Program Managers on aircraft and equipment engineering projects. Our working environment is highly dynamic, often with competing priorities and deadlines. The selected candidate will need to ensure that customer service and time objectives are achieved within existing financial constraints in order to meet marketing and financial objectives. This position is funded and will involve a full range of technical/logistic support associated with an Air Force (AF) Air Logistics Center (ALC) workload.


  • Supports execution and continuous improvement of engineering processes

  • Uses numerous data interchange systems, software programs, and electronic tools

  • Provides as-needed administrative related functions, developing highly technical documents and slides

  • Builds / maintains relationships with co-workers and strategic customers by responding to and anticipating needs

  • Provides analysis, process oversight, and tracking of detailed end-item data being created as part of engineering projects

  • Creates and updates documentation to define or clarify engineering, logistics, and administrative processes

  • Performs the Configuration Data Management (CDM) activities of planning, identification, control, reviews and audits, and data management to support engineering projects

  • Processes supplier / subcontractor submittals through CDM systems

  • Ensures timely contractual deliveries to the Customer

  • Maintains configuration control of project data and deliverables

  • Provides proactive and reactive direct support to other Logisticians, Project Engineers, and Managers working to execute numerous different Engineering Projects

  • Captures, collects, compiles, and prepares slides and other data covering contractual or highly technical information for team presentations

  • Updates documentation to aid in defining or clarifying engineering, logistics, and administrative processes

  • Utilizes a Microsoft Access Database to facilitate review and delivery of CDRL deliverables to the customer as well as tracking and managing data items flowing from the Sector to other Sectors and Subcontractors

  • Effectively manages a balance of regularly scheduled work and tasks as well as provides support for urgent short notice tasks and events

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have one of the following:

    • High school diploma / GED with a minimum of 7 years of configuration or related experience

    • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years of configuration or related experience

    • Master's degree with a minimum of 1 year of configuration or related experience

  • Must have or be able to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance

  • Must be able to work on-site in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Air Force customers and aerospace industry

  • Background in the military/commercial aerospace industry (e.g., aviation/equipment maintenance and/or aircraft operations (e.g., Air Force Specialty Codes, or equivalent from other branches of the Armed Forces), 1A1XX (Fixed Wing), 2AXXX, 3D1XX or Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Flight Engineer Certificate with a jet or a turboprop rating, or valid FAA airframe and power plan (A&)) license and/or Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT).

  • Experience and detailed knowledge of Air Force Technical Orders (e.g., System, Commodity, inspection, repair, and overhaul, Illustrated Parts Breakdown)

  • Experience with Air Force legacy data systems and processes.

  • Knowledge of Military Specifications, Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), Data Items Descriptions (DIDs) and other related technical and contractual documents

  • Working knowledge of Configuration and Data Management processes to include CM review of engineering documentation; tracking and managing data flow between Northrop Grumman Technology Services, the US Government, Subcontractors, and other Northrop Grumman sectors; control workflow of drawings, documents and other data routed for reviews, approval, and delivery

  • Experience using Microsoft Office products to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel; knowledge/experience using Microsoft Access and Project

  • Experience using the following Web applications/software programs: SharePoint, Teamcenter, etc.
