Northrop Grumman is seeking a Business Management Manager 1 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The Business Management manager will manage and support the Mission Applications Department of the Air C2 OU in Redondo Beach, CA. This position reports to the Air C2 Operating Unit Business Manager and also partners with the Mission Applications Department Manager to develop strategy, report on program performance, and achieve financial goals.

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Lead all aspects of Program execution objectives on multiple level 1 EVM programs

  • Solicit, analyze and proactively challenge baseline and schedule inputs/updates as well as recommend work-arounds to Program Managers/ CAMS.

  • Program resource management, including cost estimation, allocation, tracking, and analysis.

  • Subcontractor invoicing and funding.
  • Estimate-at-Complete (EAC) preparation and review.

  • Manage and develop Program Control Analyst (PCA) staff.

  • Prepare and present financial data to internal and external customers, including variance analysis and forecasts.

  • Compliance and financial reporting.
  • On-going collaboration with the customer and functional teams.

  • Review of contractual documents.
  • Assistance with contract negotiations.
  • Support of pricing and proposal activities.
  • Close monitoring and analysis of Funding availability, Milestone Billings and Cash collections.

  • Lead the development of Annual Operating Plan (AOP)/ Long Range Strategic Planning (LRSP).

  • Forecasting awards, sales, profit, cash.

Candidate should have the ability to identify issues and make recommendations to management for resolution of mitigation.

Basic Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline with a minimum of 6 years of industry related experience in finance, accounting, or program control.

  • Thorough and demonstrated understanding of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) financial analysis and CDRL deliveries (CFSR, CPR Formats 1-5).

  • Prior experience with government program budgeting and forecasting, as well as Annual Operating Plan development.

  • Strong experience with MPM, SAP, and COGNOS
  • Prior experience preparing and presenting financial analysis to team and/or management

  • Understanding of DOD contracts, government Cost Accounting Standards, and the FAR/DFAR.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Excel Pivot tables.

  • US Citizenship
