Northrop GrummanTechnology ServicesSector is seeking a SharePoint Site Collection Administrator/Developer with experience using the Enterprise SharePoint 2010 product to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in transforming the future of technology and public health. This position will be located in Atlanta, GA. This position will stand up and manage multiple site collections within two instances of SharePoint for a large organization within the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. There will be internal and external facing sites in separate instances, multiple sub-sites, and international use of the site content. There is an Enterprise framework, but there may be some .NET coding required for customized application and workflows.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Collaborate with customer leadership to create SharePoint solutions that meet customer needs and adhere to established standards.
Oversee technical implementation of new and existing internal facing and external facing site collections within the CDC Enterprise Site Collection framework.
Plan and execute the migration of data from an external site (hosted by an outside firm) to the new external facing site.
Manage site collection features, security, content types, navigation, search and other SharePoint out-of-the-box functionality. This includes creation of content repositories, user permissions and day to day updates of existing sites.
Provide guidance and support to sub-site owners, end users and content managers, including the creation of other site collections, master page settings, site collection features, web parts, metadata and document management, workflows and updates/changes, while maintaining consistency across sites.
Provide operational and technical support to sub-site owners, end users and content managers.
Work with enterprise SharePoint technology teams to resolve issues and address change.
Design, develop and support .NET SharePoint custom solutions including workflows and web parts, including SQL reporting services.
Test application and integration of functionality as needed to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
Monitor site usage and make recommendations to customer leadership as appropriate.
Provide training, demonstrations, and other engagement support to leadership as needed.
Ensure secure coding practices are adhered to in all phases of the secure development lifecycle. Be knowledgeable in all NGC CMS Programs HIPAA compliance requirements and proactively address any HIPAA concerns. Become knowledgeable on the HIPAA policies and procedures for the program and ensure awareness of HIPAA breach process.

Basic Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems management, or related field with a minimum of 5 years experience
3 years Microsoft SharePoint 2007 and/or 2010 experience.
3 years experience with ASP.NET development desired
Prior experience in a SharePoint Site Collection Administrator (or very similar) role.
Advanced understanding of the Microsoft SharePoint Enterprise 2010 product.
Solid understanding of knowledge management, information management, how SharePoint fits together, governance forums, etc.
Ability to integrate with a team and work well with others.
Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Creative and strong customer-oriented mindset.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects simultaneously with great efficiency and attention to detail.
Ability to present and clearly understand and articulate technology issues, initiatives, and the pro/cons of alternatives.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

Experience in government contracting environment.
Knowledge of CDC culture, mission, and IT environment.
Microsoft SharePoint Certification a plus.
