Data Ingest Engineer 2 or 3 - TS/SCI/Poly required

Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems Sector is looking for a Data Ingest Engineer with an active TS/SCI and Polygraph Clearance to work in the Northern Virginia area. The candidate will apply technical skills and experience in working with structured and unstructured data for ingest into a variety of applications. The candidate will monitor data loads and fix errors during the load process and perform quality control on ingested data. Candidate will write/edit and test macros, scripts, parsers, and small programs to process, load or analyze data, and perform configuration management before entering into production baseline. Candidate will provide daily logs and statistics, and output from utility tools, as well as track and provide daily, weekly, monthly and yearly reports and statistics/metrics, and support COOP and emergency response activities. The successful candidate is able to work under only general direction, and independently determines approaches and develops innovative solutions to improve efficiency and quality of data loads.

This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on the qualifications listed below.

Basic Qualifications:
- Level 2: Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of2 years of related experience, a Master's Degree with no experience required,or a total of6 years of experience without a degree.

- Level 3: Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience, a Master's Degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience, a PhD with no experience required, or a total of 9 years of experience without a degree.
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance.
- Experienceworking with structured and unstructured data for ingest into a variety of applications.
- Demonstrated experience with computer file management in a Windows and/or UNIX/Linux environment.
- Experience with scripting languages (such as csh, perl)

- STEM Degree
- Demonstrated ability to work in teams with a collaborative interpersonal style
- Ability to interact with various stakeholders to include senior management and customers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Experience working in a Customer Facility
