The NAPS (Navigation and Positioning Systems) business unit is a leading provider of inertial navigation and positioning systems and sensor technologies for fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft, missiles, spacecraft, ships, and land vehicles. The NAPS business unit is part of Northrop Grumman's Navigation and Maritime Systems Division within the company's Mission Systems sector.

We are currently seeking a Staff Program Financial/Cost Control Analyst for our Financial Planning & Analysis team in our NAPS (Navigation and Positioning
Systems) business unit at the Woodland Hills, CA office.

Role description & Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
  • Consolidation, coordination, and preparation of the NAPS business unit Annual Operating Plan and Long-Range Strategic Plan.

  • Consolidation, coordination, and preparation of monthly NAPS business unit forecasting (indicated final) of Sales, Operating Margin, Awards, and Cash.

  • Consolidation, coordination, and preparation of monthly NAPS executive forecast review package.

  • Preparing various special studies relating to the Financial Planning function and presenting the data to all levels of management.

  • Ensuring that all Financial Planning reports and analysis are accurate, complete, and submitted on time.

  • Committed to improving and streamlining current processes and practices.

  • Estimate-at-Complete (EAC) preparation and review.

  • Preparation and presentation of financial data to internal and external customers, including variance analysis and forecasts.

  • Compliance and financial reporting.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field, with 15+ years of related experience or a Master's degree (as described above) with 13+ years of related experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills as well as the ability to multi-task in a challenging environment.
  • Experience preparing and presenting complex financial analysis to senior management.
  • SAP experience.
  • Earned Value Management Customer Reporting experience.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 10% of the time.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance. US Citizenship is a prerequisite.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional experience in a regulated industry: to include Aerospace & Defense, Insurance, Financial Services,Telecommunications.
