Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for aPrincipal Electronics Engineerto join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL.

Essential Functions:

  • Primary position responsibilities include independently modeling performance of EWS systems as well as evaluate lab and flight test performance for airborne EWS systems for various airborne weapon systems.
  • Develop Integration and Test plans to validate subsystem requirements and generate all required artifacts
  • Develop and execute plans to address lab issues as they arise
  • This position will be part of an integrated product team structure working closely with multiple engineering disciplines.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university plus 5 years of relevant job experience OR a Master's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and3 years of engineering experience

  • A current DoD Secret or Top Secret level security clearance, to include a Single Scope Background Investigation, a periodic reinvestigation, or an original adjudication date completed within the last 6 years

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain program access prior to start

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current program access

  • Previous experience interfacing with external customers

  • Previous experience working on proprietary or restricted programs

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
