The Columbia Dreadnought Production Program office is seeking a Project Manager to support the Program Manager in all aspects of running a production contract.

The ideal candidate demonstrates a broad skill set that is balanced between interpersonal, business, and technical capabilities. You have the ability to collaborate within and across teams to accomplish goals. You are committed to ethics, integrity, and innovation while challenging traditional ways of doing business. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and you are comfortable engaging with the internal and external customers.Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

Responsibilities include:

  • Be responsible for contractual requirements to ensure on time delivery

  • Be responsible for the compliance to all financial tracking processes such as formal and informal EVMS systems.
    Coordinate customer meetings (conference room, visitor requests, agenda planning, action items, meeting minutes, etc)

  • Prepare, submit and track letters to customer

  • Identifying / managing issues and risks in a timely manner

  • Supporting internal and external meetings and IPTs

  • Support proposal development by gathering and organizing data and preparing cost estimates and rationale Works directly with functional organizations for project activities

  • Support review sessions with project teams to discuss cost, schedule and technical performance.

This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.

Basic Qualifications:

This requisition may be filled at either a level2 or a level 3.

Basic Qualifications for a level 2:
Bachelor's degree and3 years relevant experience. An additional 4 years of related experience may be accepted in lieu of degree

Basic Qualifications for a level 3:
Bachelor's degree and 6 years relevant experience. An additional 4 years of related experience may be accepted in lieu of degree

Additional Basic Qualifications for both levels:
Comfortable collaborating with employees within a department and across functions
Excellent verbal and written communication
Fluent with MS Office products Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word
Working knowledge of SAP
Material management experience
Must be a self-starter, able to prioritize multiple tasks
Must be a US citizen and with the ability to obtain a secret clearance



Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of EVMS Requirements
Experience in budgeting and scheduling of major hardware production efforts
Direct FBM Program Experience
Project Management Experience
Understanding of DoD contract requirements as they pertain to the Program Office
