Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking an Administrative Generalist to join our Systems Engineering team responsible for development and sustainment of navy systems programs. The system engineering group works with internal and external customers to develop system architecture, hardware and software design solutions, establish new program/project start-ups, and develop/manage risk assessments. Our work is mission critical and directly contributes to national security.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Develop and manage staffing plans, department metrics, processes, and procedures

  • Work with other Systems org managers to develop and manage department needs

  • Work with IT, Business Management, and other functional groups to align Systems org needs

The ideal candidate has the ability to multi task and balance multiple projects simultaneously. You have effective oral and written communication skills.

Travel is rare,but might include visits to other Northrop sites to promote synergy and/or customer and subcontractor offices for program updates and technical reviews. Travel may increase in frequency around major program milestones.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree 6+ years of relevant work experience, or Masters degree and 4+ years of relevant work experience. Note: An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office particularly Excel and pivot tables

  • US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management experience

  • Experience with EVMS

  • Experience with database applications

  • Experience with Statistics

  • Experience supporting government contracts

  • Experience with proposals
