Northrop Grumman Technology Services sector is seeking a Configuration Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in McLean, VA. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Department of State (DOS) Consular Systems Modernization (CSM) Program, for the Bureau of Consular Affairs (CA). This initiative is intended to modernize and consolidate the operational environment under a common technology framework in order to better support the services provided to CA's customers.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Facilitates the orderly execution of the system configuration processes that support software deployments submitted to IV&V, including Change Requests and the preparation of the required documentation.
Manages and maintains configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of custom and commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software products.
Performs Configuration Management and Release Engineering tasks consistent with a software development environment.
The Configuration Management Analyst reports to the System Team Manager.
Local travel may be required up to 10% of the time.


Basic Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

  • Bachelor's degree and five (5) years' experience working in a software development environment
  • Experience in change management within a software development environment supporting software version management
  • Must understand productivity tools using programming, database, or scripting languages in support of software development teams
  • Experience supporting an Agile software development program.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills to be able to interact with and support fellow members of a diverse team within a large program
  • Your ability to articulate, coordinate, and execute configuration management tasking in a team setting will be key to your success in this role
  • Must have a current, active Secret (or higher) clearance. Interim clearance acceptable

Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

  • Experience supporting IBM CLM-related tools, including Rhapsody
  • Experience supporting SAFe agile development and tools such as JIRA, Rally, VersionOne, Confluence
  • Experience working with or supporting a DevOps tool chain
