Description:

Northrop Grumman Technology Services is seeking a Product Support Manager position out of Edwards, CA. The successful candidate will design and deliver programs to train all levels of personnel. Develops tests and visual aids, conducts training classes, and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. Keeps abreast of training and development research: learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques. Develops in-house programs and practices to identify developmental needs, including preparing personnel for more responsible positions and increasing effectiveness in present assignments. May evaluate and/or oversee contractors or vendors to develop and/or administer training programs. May be responsible for development of e-learning programs. Analyzes current operating problems and future operating requirements to identify training needs and develop training programs.

Assigned work locations are Palmdale and Edwards AFB, CA.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Candidates must have a minimum of 8 years of experience with Bachelor's Degree or 6 years with a Master's Degree. 12 years of relevant experience may be used in lieu of education.

  • Ability to gain proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Captivate, Evolution Learning ContentManagement System (LCMS) and Learning Management System (LMS)or similar training development software, and an ability to swiftly learn and become proficient with related software used for training development, project tracking, and presentations.

  • Ability to understand engineering data, technical manuals, and utilize subject matter experts, team members, and established processes to complete complex training materials, schedules, and related projects under very general supervision.

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills as well as oral and written communication skills are required for the position.

  • Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year.

  • Mustmeet medical requirements for worldwide travel. Additionally, must have and maintain a valid U.S. passport, accept customer furnished quarters for a period up to120 days away from primary work location and comply with mobility requirements such as chemical warfare training and immunizations that may include anthrax and smallpox.

  • Must have an active Secret DoD clearance with ability to maintain that clearance. Have the ability to obtain and retain Special Program access clearance within 365 days from submission is a condition of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance

  • Degree in the field of Education, experience as a training courseware developer using Adobe Captivate and IBM Evolution Learning Content Management System (LCMS), and Learning Management System (LMS) is preferred.

Knowledge and/or proficiency in the tasks of performing minor structural repairs and modifications, troubleshooting, servicing aircraft and engine systems, aircraft maintenance, rework and repair of electrical/electronic, mechanical, or instrumentation systems, and performing disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re-assembly, or adjustment of various aircraft systems in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions, and FAA regulations is a plus.
