Northrop Grumman Technology Services sector is seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals supporting the Law Enforcement Information Exchange program. This position is physically located in McLean, VA.

The qualified applicant will join our team of experienced, motivated individuals in helping to define the future of information sharing in the Federal, State and Local Law Enforcement arena. The successful applicant will join an existing team of industry leaders in managing four 4 data centers consisting of 1.4 billion records supporting 40,000 law enforcement users.

Roles and Responsibilities:
-Under general direction of the Chief Technical Officer
-Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators
-Works with team members and evaluates vendor products
-Coordinates installation and installs hardware in system environments
-Coordinates installation and installs software in system environments
-Installs and maintains backup recovery environments
-Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources
-Ancillary duties include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space
-Ensure alignment with best practices and/or take advantage of advance technologies support of various program architecture and concepts
-Participate in specific customer meetings related to site environments, hardware and software requirements including technical refresh planning as required

Basic Qualifications:

-BS Degree plus 3 years work experience or equivalent work experience as a Systems Administrator or equivalent position
-Experience in configuration & Installation of servers, disc arrays and UPS devices
-Experience in installation and management of Windows Server 2012, 2016 & 2019
-Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

-5 years plus experience as an Information Systems Administrator, Network Administrator or Hardware Technician
-Highly desirable that the candidate have prior experience with Dell & Cisco hardware
-Highly desirable that the candidate have prior experience with Windows Server environments
-Highly desirable that the candidate have one or more Microsoft Certification Program certifications or equivalent
