We are currently seeking talented individuals for a GNC Engineering Intern in our ArmamentSystemsBusiness Unit in Plymouth, MN.

Armament Systems is a leading innovator and producer of advanced weapons that provide the warfighter superior battlefield capabilities. The division specializes in creating low-cost, highly reliable and precise munitions for artillery and mortar systems and is a world leader in developing and producing tactical and training ammunition for medium and large caliber weapon platforms. Armament Systems also creates systems that protect soldiers on the battlefield and reduce collateral damage.

Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will have interest and background applicable to developing and testing algorithms to perform guidance, navigation and control of aircraft and missiles.Navigation functions include the statistical processing of measured data points and their substitution into algorithms simulating physical reality. Guidance functions include the formulation of specific equations to achieve a desired position or orientation in space. Control design and analyses processes consist of the development of the control laws and hardware and software requirements for aircraft, missiles or launch vehicles.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university
  • Be majoring in a science, technology, engineering, or math related degree
  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher
  • Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)



Preferred
Qualifications:

  • Prior internship or research experience in GNC
  • Experience:
    • usingfirst principles to develop math models of physical systems
    • with classical methods for analysis and synthesis of control algorithms
    • with modern (state space) methods for analysis and synthesis of control algorithms
  • Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink software tools and related toolboxes
  • Overall GPA of 3.25
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite
