Do you like engaging with team members and mission partners across technical domains and Information Technology environments? Then this position is for you. This position is a combination of project management, systems engineering, and technical leadership from an infrastructure service provider perspective across a suite of applications in a multi-platform environment. The Desktop & Collaboration Branch Lead Project Manager will help the team break down mission and business requirements into technical requirements, communicate those requirements and dependencies with stakeholders and the engineers, and drive the Reliability, Maintainability & Availability (RMA) of products from conception all the way through deployment and sustainment. This opportunity calls for a leader with an extensive ITIL background to drive service delivery at the high levels and standards which enhances the mission.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Extensive background with ITIL Service Operation
• Extensive background managing a team from an Infrastructure Service Provider (ISP) background
• Planning, initiating, executing, monitoring and controlling IT projects of various sizes and complexity
• Extensive background with driving Support Ticket Management Tool metrics to align with contractual SLAs & SOPs
• Coaching and mentoring project team members to help ensure key tasks and milestones are consistently achieved
• Maintaining daily contact with key project stakeholders to provide persistent project status updates and reports
• Authoring and submitting weekly reports to the Program Management Office (PMO) to highlight key achievements of the team and promote positive program performance
• Ensuring the team composes and maintains standard operating procedures (SOPs) and workflows related to the sustainment and maintenance of the supported IT environment
• Tracking team performance and implementing measures to advance the service quality as well as gather key metrics to measure performance of the Desktop & Collaboration support team
• Serving as a customer support advocate, providing a bridge between customer requirements and highly technical support teams and/or service providers
• Collaborating with cross-functional team members to conduct after action review (AAR) and make recommendations or improvements to prevent future problems and improve performance
• Maintaining Action Item Lists to ensure actions are recorded, acted upon and satisfactorily closed
• Creating and maintaining project schedules using Microsoft Project, and compiling multiple project schedules into a master project schedule

The Lead Project Manager shall participate in program activities and Sponsor boards (Architectural Review, Engineering Review, Operational Readiness Review boards) that occur throughout the Washington Metropolitan Area (WMA) and as such will be required to visit supported outbuildings located within a 20 mile radius of the home office.


Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors with 10 years of overall technical experience with increasing levels of responsibility providing IT project management, technical oversight, stakeholder management and problem resolution;8 Years with Masters. 4 additional years of experience may be used in lieu of a degree.
• ITIL Foundations and ITIL Service Operations Certifications
• Experience with Ticket Management Tool (SupportWorks, ServiceNow or Remedy)
• Experience with MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Project, MS Visio
• Strong Customer Services Skills and Experience
• Ability to multitask with strong organization and time management skills
• Active TS/SCI with FSP

Preferred Qualifications:
• 3-5 years of recent and relevant experience in IT Project Management
• Able to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints within a timely fashion
• Experience supporting enterprise-class IT infrastructures comprised of physical and virtual hardware, software and storage components
• Previous experience in system administration or desktop support roles
• Familiarity with software application deployment workflows and processes
• Familiarity with industry best practices for user account management and security groups based on Role Based Access Control (RBAC)
• Experience with Office 365, Azure and virtualization using VMWare tools
