Do you like engaging with team members and mission partners across technical domains and Information Technology environments? Then this position is for you. This position is a combination of project management, systems engineering, and technical leadership across a suite of applications in a multi-platform environment. This Project Manager will help the project team break down mission and business requirements into technical requirements, communicate those requirements and dependencies with stakeholders and the engineers, and drive the development of products from conception all the way through deployment and sustainment.

The Lead Project Manager shall participate in program activities and Sponsor boards (Architectural Review, Engineering Review, Operational Readiness Review boards) that occur throughout the Washington Metropolitan Area (WMA) and as such will be required to visit supported outbuildings located within a 20 mile radius of the home office.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Planning, initiating, executing, monitoring and controlling IT projects of various sizes and complexity
• Coaching and mentoring project team members to help ensure key tasks and milestones are consistently achieved
• Maintaining daily contact with key project stakeholders to provide persistent project status updates and reports
• Authoring and submitting weekly reports to the Program Management Office (PMO) to highlight key achievements of the team and promote positive program performance
• Ensuring the team composes and maintains standard operating procedures (SOPs) and workflows related to the sustainment and maintenance of the supported IT environment
• Tracking team performance and implementing measures to advance the service quality as well as gather key metrics to measure performance of the Desktop & Collaboration support team
• Gathering, analyzing, reviewing, categorizing and overseeing ticket assignments for technical support, insuring referral to appropriate level of services
• Serving as a customer support advocate, providing a bridge between customer requirements and highly technical support teams and/or service providers
• Collaborating with cross-functional team members to conduct after action review (AAR) and make recommendations or improvements to prevent future problems and improve performance
• Maintaining Action Item Lists to ensure actions are recorded, acted upon and satisfactorily closed
• Creating and maintaining project schedules using Microsoft Project, and compiling multiple project schedules into a master project schedule


Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors and 10 Years or Masters and 8 Years of overall technical experience with increasing levels of responsibility providing IT project management, technical oversight, stakeholder management and problem resolution. 4 additional years' experience in lieu of a degree
• Experience with MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Project, MS Visio, and Jira
• Active clearance with FSP
• Strong Customer Services Skills and Experience
• Ability to multitask with strong organization and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:
• 3-5 years of recent and relevant experience in IT Project Management
• Able to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints within a timely fashion
• Experience supporting enterprise-class IT infrastructures comprised of physical and virtual hardware, software and storage components
• Previous experience in system administration or desktop support roles
• Familiarity with software application deployment workflows and processes
• Familiarity with industry best practices for user account management and security groups based on Role Based Access Control (RBAC)
• Experience with Office 365, Azure and virtualization using VMWare tools
• Experience with Windows
