Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Senior Project Manager/Network Engineer with experience leading a network team as well as managing and supporting all aspects of the network systems and sub-systems. This position requires a strong ability to use the available resources wisely and resolve break/fix and network engineering projects within the defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and project schedule. Having a strong background with installing, configuring, and maintaining Cisco Networking devices is essential in being able to manage the team of Network Engineering successfully. The Project Manager/Network Engineer will be an integral part of an infrastructure team that supports a physical infrastructure and is working towards environment transformations that leverage the Amazon Cloud Services.

The position will require the PM/Network Engineer to work daily to manage the day-to-day resource utilization to appropriately leverage the team's technical expertise. Total awareness of time/cost/scope as well as technical direction to the team as needed. The role required strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to brief Senior Government PMO on a weekly basis to provide complete situational awareness of the ongoing efforts of the Network Team. Develop an overarching understanding of the technical direction of the program and communicate with the team on the method to respond strategically. Utilize leadership skills to encourage a culture of true teamwork and to carry out day-to-day team operations in an optimal fashion, resulting in customer satisfaction.

In addition, responsible for managing and overseeing the network services from network design through implementation, maintenance, and upgrades of existing networks as well as analyze design, specifications, and related documents. Schedule conversions and cutovers with the program engineering review boards (ERB) and an ability to conduct and document site surveys. Coordinate with all responsible users and sites to resolve network or system incidents.

The Project Manager/Network Engineer role will be located in Fair Lakes, VA.

Additional medical screening may be required based on customer requirements.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 9 years of related experience, a Master's Degree and a minimum of 7 years of experience, a PhD with a minimum of 4 years of experience, or a total of 13 years of experience without a degree.
• Plan, design and help the networking team in establishing a network based on the requirements of the customer and/or client.
• Sound Knowledge of the software and hardware used in the network systems and well-acquainted with the advanced technologies
•?Experience with integrating, configuring, deploying, testing, and providing ongoing maintenance for numerous types of Cisco network devices, interfaces, and methodologies.
• Possess team leadership qualities and excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Active TS/SCI with Poly is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
•?ITIL Service Operations Certification
• PMP Certification
• Experience using SolarWinds network monitoring tool.
•?Cisco Certified Network Associate Certification (CCNA) Routing and Switching (R/S).
•?Cisco Certified Network Professional Certification (CCNP).
•?Understanding of AWS cloud technology concepts such as VPC, VPC Peering, DirectConnect and EC2 instances.
?•?AWS Certification / Hands-on Experience is a plus.
