The Cyber & Intelligence Mission Solutions (CIMS) Division within the Mission Systems Sector is seeking a Strategic Planning Manager. The position reports to the Director of Strategy. This position can be located in either Annapolis Junction, MD or in Fair Lakes, VA.

The Strategic Planning Manager's scope of responsibilities include Competitive Intelligence, Market Assessment, Strategic Landscape Assessment, and Strategy Projects. The group conducts analysis to provide insights into the future direction of our industry and our division's competitive position to:
  • Lead projects to frame, develop and deliver solutions to meet the division's long term strategic goals.
  • Support key campaign and capture priorities as needed
  • Support additional ad-hoc strategy projects

  • Typical projects will develop recommendations to address competitive gaps in the division's position in captures, markets, technology and product portfolios, capabilities to produce solutions, and access to markets. Capture support efforts include competitive analyses to inform and shape capture strategy, participating in strategy reviews, supporting the development of price-to-win (PTW).

    In addition, the Strategic Planning Manager will participate in ad-hoc strategic project teams that include multiple stakeholders from business units and functions at the Division and Sector level.

    The successful candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills, effectively communicating analyses, strategies and recommendations in a concise and insightful manner.

    Qualifications:

    Basic Qualifications:

    - Bachelors Degree

    - Minimum of 8 years combined strategy, business development, market research or competitive analysis work experience or internships (or 6 years with Master's)

    - Understanding of DoD and Intelligence community customers and their missions

    - Ability to collect, analyze and synthesize business and marketing insights from multiple sources and develop concise, logical presentations to convey recommendations to senior executives.

    - Dynamic self-starter with strong attention to detail, strong work ethic to handle multiple priorities, and the ability to interact with executives across multiple organizations

    Clearances required

    - Top Secret

    Preferred Qualifications:

    - Specific experience in the DoD and Intelligence markets - deep knowledge of mission, technologies, competitors and data sources relevant to these markets (e.g. budget documents, etc.)

    - Demonstrated experience with strategy, market research or competitive analysis work

    - Demonstrated ability to manage tasks and projects to successful completion-

    - Strong quantitative skills

    Clearances required

    - Top Secret/SCI clearance
