Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Software Engineer II or Principal Software Engineer III based out of McClellan, CA in the Sacramento area.

What you'll get to do:

  • Design, develop, document, test and debug applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
  • Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
  • Determine computer user needs; analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepare operating instructions; design and develop compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
  • Ensure software standards are met.

    This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.



Qualifications:

This requisition may be filled at either a level II or level III.

Basic Qualifications for Software Engineer II:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with 2+ years' experience
  • Must have an Active Top Secret Clearance/SCI
  • Must have work experience with object oriented programming such as, Java and/or C++


Basic Qualifications for Principal Software Engineer III:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with 5+ years' experience
  • Must have an Active Top Secret Clearance/SCI
  • Must have work experience with object oriented programming such as, Java and/or C++


Preferred Qualifications for Software Engineer II/Principal Software Engineer III:
  • Active Top Secret Clearance, SCI with a Polygraph
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math)
  • Experience working with both Windows and Linux operating systems
