Specific duties to include but are not limited to:

The Supply Chain Planning Specialist (SCPS) will provide leadership and support from a Global Supply Chain perspective for the Advanced Capabilities (AC) Division. Specific duties would include but are not limited to:

  • Support and lead Key Suppliers/Subcontractors across the Advanced Capabilities Business Unit with limited to no Management oversight
  • Understand/ensure the overarching goals of the Advanced Capability Business Unit and CIMS Division are being supported as well as the GSC organization
  • Establish and maintain a strong business acumen with internal and external team members and have the ability to operate in a faced paced development environment that consists of leading edge technology suppliers and non-traditional supply base
  • Owns contractual management for the Key Critical Subcontract across the Advanced Capabilities Business Unit
  • Manages and develops strategic/key suppliers for Advanced Capabilities
  • Work with Program team to reviews and approve supplier payment as needed
  • Supports Subcontract reporting as required (IPRS, Program Reviews, RTGs, etc)
  • Supports/leads source selection from contract proposal to execution phases
  • Coordinates and collaborates with key stakeholders such as GSC program planners, contracts, engineering, quality, supplier development, operations, program and end-users
  • Manage and collaborates on subcontract specifications, Statement of Works (SOWs), and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and/or services
  • Analyzes and evaluates proposals, supports negotiations of subcontract provisions
  • Collaborates with quality organization, evaluates and monitors supplier quality and reliability, as well as supplier ability to support required delivery schedules
  • Work with Subcontract Administrators to identify strategies and opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through strategic and targeted negotiations
  • Manages performance of subcontracts, ensures compliance with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures including import/export regulations. Employs sound business practices and assesses supplier performance as part of follow-up activities. Ensures that appropriate documentation is provided to logistics/transportation & warehouse organization so that proper receipt is recorded
  • Utilizes process tools such as Lean Six Sigma with suppliers to drive quality, efficiency and continuous improvement
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and on the job training to lower level professionals
  • Ability to work with less experienced Program Teams and provide a general level of guidance of processes and procedures, etc


Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelors' Degree

- Minimum 15 years relevant experience (e.g. cost account management, supplier financial reporting/forecasting and supplier/program/product scheduling); 13+ Years with Masters

- High level of proficiency in MS Office suite and SAP.

- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain government security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

- Previous experience in Supply Chain, Business or Operations, or financial planning

- Experience in Federal and Defense contracting requirements including ITAR, DOS licenses, FAR and DFARS.

- Ability to be agile and work in a fast passed engineering environment

- Ability to work in a team environment while also being able to work independently with limited oversight and provide mentorship and training to lower level professionals
