Northrop Grumman is seeking a qualified individual to join our team at the Yorktown Naval Weapons Station in Yorktown, Virginia. This new position will lead a small group of contractors within the facilities Online Division. The contractors in this division are expected to supplement the existing Military and Civilian workforce in this area. This Division is responsible for the group assembly and system testing of hardware using both unique and common test sets. A successful individual in this position must be able to understand and enforce Quality System requirements, manage 3-4 personnel, manage limited resources, and be able to accommodate shifting work requests.

Responsible for daily operations of a small team of contractors within the Online Division. Responsibilities include work scheduling, personnel management, technical oversight, quality system oversight, and ordinance handling oversight.

Responsibilities:
Assign personnel to tasking according to their skill, experience and job knowledge. Develop and deliver training to assigned personnel to improve skills, job knowledge and overall quality and efficiency of work center. Effectively communicate overall facility goals to assigned personnel to ensure team is operating in support of the facility goals. Ensure culture of compliance Quality and Technical aspects of the tasking. Ensure safety of assigned personnel during the performance of tasking. Review completed work and report deficiencies for continuous process improvement efforts.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum four years of production or industrial maintenance experience
  • Minimum two years of personnel management experience
  • Able to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance (Interim or Active Secret clearance required to be in facility)
  • Must use personal protective equipment such as Steel Toe Shoes, Neoprene gloves, and face shields
  • Must pass an Explosive Handler Physical
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft products such as windows Desktop OS, Office product suite.
  • Must be able to lift 30 lb.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 3.0 GPA or higher
  • 4 years management experience
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance
