Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Capture/Business Development Manager of missile defense systems to develop and mature business opportunities (or lead and win new business pursuits) and help keep critical re-compete programs. This position will be located at any of the following locations and will require up to 50% of travel.
  • Chandler, AZ (Preferred location)
  • Redondo Beach, CA
  • Colorado Springs, CO
  • Huntsville, AL
  • McLean, VA
In this position, the selected candidate will be responsible for the following:
  • Understanding of missile defense, propulsion, and launch marketplaces and stakeholder customer organizations and budgets in order to develop market trends and strategies
  • Capture activities of missile defense, propulsion and launch programs including customer account management and growth, pipeline management and growth, and customer engagement.
  • Lead and support the development of the LMDS Strategy, and lead/support the development of all LMDS BSTs (Launch, Missile Defense, and Hypersonic Strike);
  • Execution of multiple Business Strategy Teams (BST) to ensure alignment is maintained for division to include conducting market analysis, competitor assessments, technology roadmaps, and cost strategies
  • Lead and support the development of the LMDS Strategy, and lead/support the development of all LMDS BSTs (Launch, Missile Defense, and Hypersonic Strike);
  • Execution of multiple Business Strategy Teams (BST) to ensure alignment is maintained for division to include conducting market analysis, competitor assessments, technology roadmaps, and cost strategies
  • Support Enterprise Corporate campaigns as requiredupport Enterprise Corporate campaigns as required
  • Providing support to key division captures throughout proposal lifecycle to include the development of customer shaping strategies, position to win (price to win) analyses, cost strategies, and support workshops.
  • Simultaneously leading multiple opportunity pursuits and be capable of transitioning an opportunity from assessment through pursuit
  • Conducting in-depth analyses in order to build supporting business cases for potential opportunities
  • Development and management of capture/business development project funds, schedule, and execution.
  • Conducting gate and commitment reviews to support division-level reviews, tracking any impact to planned investments and alignment with overall investment strategy.
  • Coordination and collaboration with line of business management, strategy, business and finance, contracts and global supply chain, technology and engineering offices and functions.
