Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an Information Technology Manager to support the Northrop Grumman Space Systems sector. The Information Technology Manager will interface with senior level management and other company personnel to ensure organizational compliance. This will require the ability to support the overall Northrop Grumman organization as well as manage and complete assigned projects independently.

The Information Technology Manager will be reporting to the Sector Director for Pricing & Estimating (P&E). This role is located in Dulles, Virginia, or one of our other major Northrop Grumman Space Systems locations.

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Collaborating with divisions and business unit Pricing & Estimating stakeholders to develop a technical strategy to lead, facilitate and sustain sector tools and ensure operational efficiencies which produce high quality proposal products for our customers.
  • Providing liaison between Pricing & Estimating organizations, end users, and information systems leadership to ensure alignment of information services' directions and business requirements.
  • Developing project plans for tools deployment while managing to the cost and schedule targets.
  • Implementing proposal data integrity for proper monitoring of key performance indicators.
  • Providing objective-oriented direction to subordinates utilizing management guidelines & general policies.
  • Providing end-user support/training, security/licensing management, and algorithm development in ProPricer (or similar cost or pricing tools).
  • Creating and modifying databases, tables and views in support of various applications using SQL Server.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline with 7+ years of industry related experience in Pricing/Cost Estimating, Finance, Accounting, Contracts, Program Control, or other related Business Management function(s).
  • Experience developing and motivating staff in a team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, with added emphasis on advanced Excel data analysis competency and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with ProPricer, MS Access, SQL Server, HTML, and VB.NET.
  • In-depth accounting knowledge of pricing algorithms, cost types, resource codes, escalation, direct, and indirect rates as well as transferring rates from various rate release formats to ProPricer direct and burden tables.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance. US citizenship is a prerequisite.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA or a Master's Degree in a Business related field.
  • SAP Experience.
  • Experience Developing and/or Managing Information/Application Systems.
  • Aerospace/Defense Industry experience.
  • Current TS security clearance preferred. US citizenship is a prerequisite.
