SSSD has an opening for a Manager Program Planning 3, Program Planning and Scheduling to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, California.
Job Description / SOW:
Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Management of a team of Program Planning & Schedule Management Analysts
• Resource planning and staffing, employee engagement, staff development, including employee goal setting, performance of mid-year and annual performance reviews, and issues resolution
• Understanding and working knowledge of Program Management, financial Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliveries, Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), proposal development, requirements, organization, team structures, planning, risk management, corrective action process, and team leadership
• Prepares, develops and coordinates the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to meet all program objectives
• Ensures program schedules are horizontally and vertically integrated
• Management of program business systems and coordination of weekly and monthly business processes inclusive of status and analysis to enable delivery of products and information to program leadership and customers while supporting successful program execution
• Preparation for and conducting Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBR), Joint Surveillance Reviews (JSR) and Internal Audits
• Implement schedule management and EVMS best practices as prescribed by industry to include, but not limited to:
o DCMA 14-point
o NDIA EIA-748 32 Guidelines
o Critical Path Methodology (CPM)
o Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA)
• Performance of analysis of detailed schedules, resources, schedule performance, health metrics, cost, and risk
• High acumen for problem solving as this role requires the identification of issues and problems in order to make recommendations to management for resolution
• Ability to develop presentation content and present in an impactful manner to various levels of leadership
• Effectively collaborate with and lead multiple functional teams, supplier teams, and the Program/Project Manager
• Facilitating improvements in processes, compliance, procedures, software and Ad Hoc program activities and influence architecture requirements to improve efficiencies
• Interface with internal program/division executive leadership and customer leadership

This position's standard work schedule is 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows an employee to work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday and take every other Friday off of work.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Business and/or STEM (Science, Technology Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 6 years of Planning & Scheduling, Finance, Pricing, Program Management, or Engineering experience; OR Master's degree with 4 years of Planning & Scheduling, Finance, Pricing, Program Management, or Engineering experience
  • DoD Top Secret Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Microsoft Project Server environment
  • Knowledge of Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development; Schedule Risk
  • Assessment (SRA) approach and execution
  • Excellent 2-way communication skills (upward and downward)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees, management, and executive leadership
