Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Software Engineer - Software Development Environment Administrator to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. Position is located in Melbourne, Florida.
Ideal and exciting opportunity for a developer with an interest in the Atlassian tool suite, back-end metrics and database administration!
Essential Functions:
  • Development, implementation, and administration of the software development environment for one of our major programs.
  • Assist in administering the software development toolset working with a diverse set of stakeholders
  • Ensure the systems are able to support the development team's needs, as well as management's expectations for data gathering and collaboration.
  • Frequent opportunities to interact and collaborate with management, external personnel, and customers
  • Cross-team collaboration with various sub teams to integrate functionality

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with 2-years of software engineering experience OR a Master's Degree in (STEM) from an accredited university.
  • Experience developing software/writing code in C/C++
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tool suite (e.g. git, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, and Jira)
  • Familiarity with Agile SW development
  • Familiarity with relational database concepts
  • An active in-scope DoD Secret level clearance and the ability to obtain/maintain program (PAR) access are required to apply and be considered for this role.
    • On Day-1 an active DoD Secret clearance and program (PAR) access are required to start.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience administering Atlassian tool suite applications (e.g. git, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, and Jira)
  • Experience in administering relational database environments
