Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a self-motivated, hard-working full-time System Administrator 3/4 for the NATO AGS Global Hawk Program in NAS Sigonella, Italy (Sicily). The Systems Administrator will maintain smooth operations of the Ground Segment consisting of multi-user computer, network, and communication systems installed on the main operating base.

Position Summary / Responsibilities:
• Responsible for configuration and maintenance of multi-purpose servers, workstations, and storage arrays in a secure environment
• Implement recovery procedures to include the backup and potential restoration within agreed timeframes
• Perform hardware and software installation, configuration, and maintenance
• Comply with security requirements, which may include routine system checks for Antivirus, logging, and network system services
• Create and maintain user and computer accounts and modify file permissions and security access lists
• Recommend and implement approved system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management
• Develop and document technical processes and procedures as needed
- Provide On-the-Job Training and platform instruction to NATO AGS customer when required.
Position can be filled at a level 3 or a level 4.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications level 3
-Bachelor's degree and 6 years of relevant work experience or 10 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
-Experience with Microsoft Server, Windows domain architectures, Windows Active Directory, LDAP, VMWare, and knowledge of SAN storage systems
-Linux Operating System experience and/or certification for current versions
-Knowledge of environmental monitoring tools
-Rudimentary scripting experience
-Active US or NATO SECRET Clearance required
-Able to commit to a 2 year overseas assignment-Capable of completing assigned work with limited guidance / supervision
-Must be able to support the 24/7 operations environment and adapt to changing priorities based on mission need
-Willingness to work after hours and weekends as required
