Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a self-motivated, hard-working full-time NATO Field Engineer 3 for the NATO AGS Program in NAS Sigonella, Italy (Sicily). The selected candidate will provide engineering and logistics support to both customer and Integrate Product Support (IPT) team reaction center.
The candidate will conduct technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to product in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations. Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution. Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications. Conducts technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors and company representatives. Applies extensive technical expertise, and has full knowledge of other related disciplines. Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings. Develop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity. Work is performed without appreciable direction.
Performs on-equipment and preventative maintenance functions to include: scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, disassembly, rework, modification, replacement, re-assembly or adjustment of vehicle avionic systems, sub-systems and components to include flight management system, central flight computer system, global positioning system and differential GPS aided navigation systems in accordance with technical specifications and engineering instructions. Troubleshoots and diagnoses various avionic systems to eliminate discrepancies in minimum time. Maintains applicable DAAA/NAGSF/NG required records and data bases to include manuals and inspection forms.
Represents the organization as the prime technical contact, interacts with senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations. All support will be accomplished IAW approved engineering direction. Maintain applicable DAAA/NAGSF/NG required records, manuals and inspection forms. Recommends corrective actions and resolves problems using technical publications and analytic techniques.
Provide On-the-Job Training and platform instruction to NATO AGS customer when required.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
-5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 2 Years with Masters; or 9 years of relevant experience w/o any formal education.
- A basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
-US or NATO SECRET Clearance Required
-Able to commit to a 2 year overseas assignment

-Previous Global Hawk experience, with VTC and Engine Run qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:
- (FAA) Airframe and Power plant (A&P) desired.
- Certified UAV Technician / Aircraft Electronics Technician
-Prior Test Conductor experience
-Prior military avionics maintenance experience desired
