Merit321 is seeking a Pega Developer with a TS clearance to join our team. The selected candidate(s) will join energetic professionals on a mission to support the FBI's software development efforts and will possess prior experience in Pega Government Platform architecture, AWS systems, Pega Agile Studio and Microsoft Team Foundation Service (TFS), Oracle, SQL, .NET/Java frameworks, and leadership/team management. Applicants with Pega-related certifications are at an advantage and will be heavily considered.

 

Location: Washington, DC

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business analysts, Pega architects, and other Pega developers in an agile environment
  • Implement Pega best practices and system improvements
  • Apply Agile Scrum processes and Pega Agile Studio in designing enterprise-wide Pega applications
  • Lead Pega team in analyzing the business needs and the environment to ensure Design and build Pega solutions that meet the organization’s business requirements
  • Identify new opportunities to optimize the performance and efficiency of processes and reporting through digital solutions
  • Utilize Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) to manage requirements backlog, maintain code versions, release notes and testing scripts, and track time utilization

 

Qualifications:

  • Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance
  • Minimum Years of Experience: 5+ years’ experience – 2+ years’ experience in Pega, 2+ years in .NET or Java frameworks, and 2+ years of software architecture experience
  • Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor’s degree
  • Degree(s) Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, i.e., business, engineering, management information systems
  • In-depth technical understanding and demonstrable knowledge of Pega framework, .Net frameworks and SDLC
  • Proven experience in building and implementing model-driven, enterprise-level business solutions.
  • Proven experience in all phases of software development including design, configuration, testing, debugging, implementation, and support of large-scale, business-centric and process-based applications.
  • Experience in business process modeling or flow charting
  • Experience in Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Solid communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to collaborate with a team of developers and architects
  • Experience with creating out of the box reports
  • Strong understanding of basic database administration for Oracle / SQL Server databases
  • Knowledge of Pega best practices for workflow and form design
  • Knowledge of Pega security and access control
  • Knowledge of Pega out of box functionality and Pega implementation best practices

 

Preferred:

  • Experience with Pega Government Platform (PGP)
  • Knowledge of Pega system administration best practices
  • Configuration of Pega using a high-availability model in a Cloud environment, including Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure
  • Pega System Architect Certification
  • Pega Senior System Architect Certification
